Murray Goulburn Co-operative

Murray Goulburn Co-operative Co Ltd is a dairy processing co-operative owned and controlled by its dairy farmer members. The New Zealand dairy co-operative Fonterra  also operates in Australia but the farmers who own and control this co-operative are in New Zealand. Dairy Farmers also used to be a co-operative but its members decided to sell the co-operative. There is still a supply co-operative but the processing facilities are owned and controlled by investors. Murray Goulburn is important, therefore, to dairy farmers and Australia.
