Centre for the Study of Co-operatives
The Centre for the Study of Co-operatives at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon, Canada was established in 1984. It is an interdisciplinary teaching and research institute. The objectives of the Centre are (a) to develop and offer university courses that provide an understanding of co-operative theory, principles, development, structures and legislation (b) to undertake original research into co-operatives (c) to publish co-operative research by Centre staff and other researchers and (d) to maintain a Resource Centre of co-operative materials that supports the Centre's teaching and research functions. Research undertaken by the Centre is published in vartious forms - books, professional journals, the Centre's series of occasional papers and booklets and electronically.
